Della Days Celebration

Thursday (4/9) – Sunday (4/12)

We’re kicking off the first ever Della Days, April 9-12, a new annual celebration we’re starting built around history, community, and our longest-running beer, Della Kölsch. Della is named after Emily Adella “Della” Race, daughter of Charles T. Race, who helped develop the Old Irving Park subdivision back in the 1870s. Born April 9, 1857, her name lives on in the beer, in the neighborhood, and now in this weekend. The train on the label is a nod to Six Corners, once dubbed the “Second City” for the rail lines that connected this part of the city to Chicago. This is our way of toasting the past, the community, and a good excuse to throw a party.

All weekend, starting Thursday April 9 at noon, we’ll have:

* $5 Della pints
* Keep-the-glass special (Della Days commemorative glass with Della pint)
* Della Collins & Della Micheladas
* 28 Months Later release, an 18% Barrel-Aged Barleywine aged 28 months in Willett 13-year bourbon barrels. Turned out great!
* Tasty food specials
* Raffle prizes
* Della Days merch
* … and a few other surprises!

We’ll also have tasty food specials, raffle prizes, exclusive glassware, merch, and a few other surprises we’ll be rolling out through the weekend.

We’re hoping Della Days becomes a fun tradition for us every April and a chance to raise a glass to Old Irving, the people who built it, and everyone keeping it going today. Whether you’ve been drinking Della since day one or you’re stopping in for the first time, come hang out and help us make this inaugural one count. No tickets or reservations needed. See you April 9-12.
